International Account manager

LignoStar International BV offers a challenging position that requires an entrepreneurial mentality and natural business acumen, but also offers a lot of creative freedom. The main responsibility of this role is to continuously manage and expand the international sales network of LignoStar.

The primary businesses include but are not limited to the following segments:

  • Refractories, Ceramics, Concrete, Plasterboard
  • Agriculture (Fertilizer, Herbicides, Insecticides)
  • Chemical Manufacturing (Leather tanning, carbon black and other Intermediates)
  • Building & Construction (Paints & Coatings, Concrete, Ceramics)

The geographic territory to be covered is mostly in Europe but can also extend overseas

About you
As a International Account Manager within LignoStar, you will have the freedom to explore, create and expand existing and new customer relationships, enter into new business partnerships and close deals. You have proven commercial skills, a problem-solving attitude and you are eager to provide customer support in an international B2B sales environment. By doing so, you are dedicated to building international business relationships based on trust and commitment.

You have a Bachelor’s degree, (Master’s degree preferred) in International Business, Sales and Marketing, Chemistry or related field and 3+ years of commercial/technical sales experience in an international B2B company (preferably chemicals distribution or manufacturing). Must be organized, opportunistic, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. This job requires someone who is self-motivated, ambitious, highly determined and not easily deterred. The person should have great interpersonal and language skills. You don’t mind traveling regularly to meet (potential) clients in person. This position requires minimum 40% travel – tradeshows, overnight, domestic and international. When you are not traveling, you also contribute to further developing the sales strategy and expanding the sales team of LignoStar.

Your other responsibilities consist of:

  • Calculation, price negotiations and the ability to close business opportunities
  • Take charge of managing the team’s sales pipeline and coordinate seamlessly with relevant departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Prepare annual sales and development budgets, monitor progress, achieve financial objectives and explain variances as may be needed
  • Stay ahead of market trends and competitors
  • Foster a culture of continual learning and growth within the team, leading by example and providing training where needed
  • Collaborate and work cross-functionally with other members of the team
  • Reporting directly to the CEO
